I, most of the times, do believe that the worst thing is being dead. Until then you can have hope for chances.
Some people may say otherwise considering the pain they have to go through. I say that it, most of the times, is just a matter of accepting the pain and embracing the same; then one can understand that the former is true.
Having said this, I do know that pain verses death is a debatable topic and the conclusion of what is better certainly based on the context of real situations.
