Become an observer..

You see, you really don't have to panic when a person is in shock. It is very much unlikely that they do something stupid. The time you are supposed to panic is when they move onto the next phase called 'realization'. That is when they actually freak out. They tend to do all sort of stupid things that they could possibly regret in future. Or not there to regret, if you know what I mean.

In psychology, they say that after an event, a person goes through 4 phases. Shock.. Realization.. Mourning.. Closure and finally moving on.

Shock is the phase your mind hasn't landed on the reality yet. Realization sees the absence and feels the loss -- obviously finding difficulty to accept what had happened. Mourning comes with accepting the reality and feel for being helpless. Given enough time, you finally turn the page and move onto the next chapter.

It is so surprising the path in which our mind walks when happen to face a loss or failure or something closure to that context. Observing is the greatest gift. That is what gives the ability to win over the barriers of nature. It occupies your mind enough that it suffers less. That's why I call for observation when you undergo downhill. Become a third person. Be your observer. Embrace what you go through for that is inevitable and you have a chance of saving yourself a little from the suffering.
